Mission to San Martin, Guatemala

Making Smiles Brighter

In July and August, we embarked on an unforgettable dental mission to San Martin, Guatemala. Our team of three dentists, three hygienists, and one dedicated assistant volunteer, Daya, came together with a shared purpose: to provide essential dental care to children who might not otherwise have access. Over six days, we were able to see and serve more than 350 children, offering much-needed cleanings, exams, and dental treatments—all at no cost to these amazing kids.

Our group was able to provide $80,000 worth of work in just 6 days. We felt this made a significant impact on the local community.

The days were long and full of work, but each moment was deeply rewarding. Daya was an invaluable part of the team, working as an assistant volunteer to support our mission on multiple fronts. From chairside assistance to sterilizing equipment, Daya’s efforts kept our operations running smoothly, ensuring that each child received the best care possible in a safe, hygienic environment.

Beyond the mission itself, we found time to explore Guatemala’s natural beauty, including a hike up Pacaya Volcano. This adventure provided us a chance to connect with the land and culture of the country we were serving, making the trip even more memorable.

Thank you to everyone who supported us in making this mission possible. Every smile we helped brighten was made possible by your encouragement and generosity. We’re excited to share these photos from our journey and hope they inspire others to join or support similar missions in the future. Here’s to spreading smiles and making a difference, one community at a time! 😊
